Pyrite

Pyrite also called "fool’s gold" is chemically iron sulfide. It can be found in
several crystal shapes including cubes and octahedrons. It is opaque and
brassy-yellow gold in color.

Pyrite possesses a defending quality and is an excellent shield from many
types of negative energy.

It is intellectually stimulating and facilitates communication between logic
and emotions, analysis and creativity. Use Pyrite to unleash your particular
gift and allow it to flow.

Katrina Raphael considers Pyrite to be part of Mental Trinity - strengthening
mental capacity and developing the higher faculties of the human mind.

Pyrite can occasionally be found as beads for making jewelry. When found this
way it is usually in matrix with quartz to make it strong and less brittle. If
strung with sterling silver, be aware that the sulfur in the Pyrite will quickly
and badly tarnish the silver.
