Opal

Opals are part of the quartz family. There are several types of opal – the best
known is precious Opal which have a rainbow-like iridescence. Other Opals
include Fire Opals and Pink and Blue Opals from the Andes. The distinguishing
characteristic of all Opals is that they always contain water.

Magickally, wear Opals during astral projection for protection and to assist
in the process.

Opals also assist in developing psychic powers.

Black Opals are power stones to wear during ritual to increase power aroused
and released during magickal workings.

The energies of Pink Opal are joyous and loving.

Blue Opal lends the wearer the freedom and courage to speak thoughts you
have been unable to voice previously.

Fire Opal provides an energy boost when feeling burn-out.

All Opals are subject to loss of lustre as they age due to loss of water. Store
Opals in water soaked cotton wool to slow loss of water. Opals are sensitive to
pressure and blows, as well as heat and chemicals.
