Labradorite is also known as Spectrolite. It is a type of feldspar which shows
a play of colors (labradorescence) in lustrous metallic tints, often blues and
greens, but all hues of spectrum are possible.

Labradorite protects and strengthens ones aura.
It assists in developing psychic powers and also teaches us to use these
powers wisely.

Labradorite is sometimes called a "wizard" stone. Keeping this stone near
reminds us that the path toward spiritual maturity and power requires
dedication and perseverance. Just as the wizards of old served long
apprenticeships and gradually gained their familiarity with spiritual powers,
so too must we have the resolve to continue learning and exploring our own
inner way.

Labradorite can be faceted, cabbed or just tumbled polished. Looks great
anyway you find it! It is somewhat softer than quartz, but still a durable
stone for everyday wear with one caveat – a sharp blow can shatter this
stone much as it would an opal.
