Hematite

Hematite was known in past as Bloodstone because, when cut, the water used
to cool the cutting wheel turns red. The stone itself is most commonly dark,
silvery gray with a great metallic lustre. When iron is exposed to oxygen
either through the atmosphere or by contact with water, it will oxidize,
giving birth to Hematite.

Hematite’s greatest use for grounding. Wear a small stone in toe of shoe, carry
in your pocket, wear an anklet of Hematite beads…. All of these are ways of
using Hematite to connect the spirit to the physical body, and avoiding
"spaciness", and to focus attention on happenings in physical plane.

When meditating hold a piece of Hematite or place a piece under your foot to
help keep you connected to physical body.

Hematite can be used to cool the physical body - place on forehead to draw
out a fever.

Astrological Sign of Aries. First Chakra and also Earth Star Chakra.
