Amber

Amber is fossilized tree resin. It is generally golden to yellow-brown in color, however pale yellow, blue, green and red are also found. Rubbed with silk or
Wool, it becomes electrically charged. Beware of buying Amber from an
unknown source as plastic or glass may be substituted. There are tests that
can verify authenticity, but they involve removing a small piece of the stone.
If that can be done without ruining the stone – burn in flame. Amber has a
Sweet smell when burning – plastic of course, does not.

Amber has many Magickal uses. It safeguards against negative Magick. A large
piece of Amber on your altar strengthens spells. Used in love spells to attract
a mate. Also useful in spells for business success or to draw money.

Amber absorbs negative energy and transmutes this back to the body as
positive energy. This property in unique in the mineral kingdom. Lady Amber
emits a sunny soothing energy which helps calm nerves. Was used in ancient
past for renewal of marriage vows and in token of other promises. Amber is
a Sacred stone to both Native Americans and Eastern Indians. It is an
excellent for rediscovering previous lifetimes through dreams and
meditations because of its very essence.

To the Physical body, Amber is a blood purifier. She does not emit a strong
healing energy, but it does have the power to draw dis-ease from the body.
Place a piece of amber over any area of the body that is imbalanced or in
pain. Amber can absorb the negative energy and help the body heal itself.

Amber is associated with Astrological sign of Leo. Also with the Naval
Chakra.

Amber MUST always be cleansed after use (or wearing). Cleanse Amber by
holding in running water. A natural body of water is ideal, but a faucet will
work as well. Then re-energize in sunlight (and fresh air if possible).
